COVID Vaccinations are Finally Underway Thanks to Public Health & Their Community Partners
Allamakee County Public Health received 300 doses of COVID-19 vaccine from the State of Iowa this week. 200 doses were administered to individuals aged 65 and over thanks to collaborating vaccine partners. Allamakee County Public Health and Veterans Memorial Hospital staff and volunteers worked diligently to ensure a safe, quick and efficient experience for those receiving the vaccine.

COVID Vaccinations are Finally Underway Thanks to Public Health & Their Community Partners

This past week, Allamakee County Public Health (ACPH) received 300 doses of COVID-19 vaccine from the State of Iowa to be administered to eligible individuals in tier 1B. These doses were divided amongst ACPH, The Prescription Shoppe and Veterans Memorial Hospital Clinic. ACPH focused on vaccinating the additional tier groups in Phase 1B, while The Prescription Shoppe and VMH Clinic administered to individuals aged 65 and older. Another 300 doses is expected be received next week.

ACPH and partners will continue to work as quickly and efficiently as possible to administer vaccine to eligible individuals.
