Solving Dry Skin Problems This Winter

The dry air experienced during the winter months is an integral factor in creating dry skin problems. Heating systems to warm homes and offices, most commonly forced-air heat, wrings even more moisture out of the already dry air. This dry air can take moisture right out of the skin and causes the top layer, which is made up of dead skin cells, to flake.

Self-Improvement Classes to be Held at VMH in 2015

Veterans Memorial Hospital dietitian, Jill Fleming, RD/LD, will be offering a series of fun and simple self improvement classes at the hospital throughout 2015.  These classes will be held on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. in the Veterans Memorial Hospital Large Conference Room, located on the lower level of the hospital. 

Grief Support Group to Begin Meeting at Veterans Memorial Hospital

A local Grief Support Group will again start to meet monthly at Veterans Memorial Hospital.  The first meeting is planned for Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at 2 p.m. in the ICN Conference Room of the hospital, which is located on the hospital’s lower level.
