Accountant: One full-time position available working Monday-Friday, to complete high level accounting transactions and analysis. Responsible for general ledger month-end account reconciliations and analysis to support required journal entries. Assists with budget preparation, external audit and analysis for all hospital/clinic departments. Will assist and provide support as needed for the areas of accounts payable, payroll, purchasing, and accounts receivable. Works under the direction of the CFO and will also work closely with the Revenue Cycle and Business office Teams. Qualifications include a four-year bachelors degree in Accounting, with preference as a CPA, or 4 years experience working as a staff Accountant.
Certified Medical Assistant: One full-time position available for certified medical assistant for the medical clinic. Responsibilities include assisting the Provider during the exam and treatment of the patient, assisting the patient after the exam to ensure understanding and compliance with Provider instructions, performing routine laboratory procedures to include collection and preparation of specimens as well as recording information in electronic medical recordkeeping system, scheduling appointments and other administrative duties. Excellent organization, telephone, computer and communication skills a must. Medical Assistant certification required. Previous experience preferred.
Chief Nursing Officer: Veterans Memorial Hospital has an opening for a Chief Nursing Officer. The CNO provides clinical and administrative leadership to nursing and related patient care departments. Emergency Medical Technician/ Laboratory Assistant: Full-time and part-time openings for the split role of EMT and Laboratory Assistant. Veterans Memorial Hospital Ambulance Service currently has one full-time, part-time or PRN Paramedic position available, based in the Emergency Department, providing pre-hospital 911 response, Paramedic Intercepts with outlying services, and Inter-facility transports. Our Paramedics provide support facility-wide including respiratory therapy duties and assistance on the medical floor. RN-VMH Medical Clinic-Postville: One full-time position working Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am-5pm, no holidays and no weekends. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: patient triage (phone and in-person), medication refills, patient education, RN patient visits (BP checks, cardiac monitor placement, suture removals, urine drug screens, etc.), patient referrals, administration of vaccines, patient rooming, assisting providers with procedures, blood draws. Current RN licensure plus two years previous Family Medical clinic experience required.
