Behavioral Health Resource Nurse – Medical Clinic
Join our Medical Clinic team as a full-time Behavioral Health Resource Nurse and make a meaningful impact every day! In this role, you’ll work collaboratively with providers and clinical staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across all ages. You’ll use your nursing expertise to assess patient needs and serve as a key liaison between patients and providers. From telephone triage and chronic care management, you’ll play an essential role in keeping our patients informed, supported, and well cared for—including patients with behavioral and mental health needs.
We’re seeking a motivated RN with a minimum of an associate degree in nursing and two years of clinic or comparable experience (Rural Health Clinic experience preferred). Behavioral Health experience is strongly preferred, along with an active Iowa RN license (or ability to obtain prior to start) and current CPR certification. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with strong communication and EMR skills, a positive and flexible approach to care, and a desire to contribute in a growing clinic environment.
Credentialing & Enrollment Specialist
Veterans Memorial Hospital is seeking a full time (36 hpw) detail-oriented Credentialing & Enrollment Specialist to manage the end-to-end credentialing and payor enrollment process for healthcare providers. This role is essential to ensuring compliance with federal, state, and hospital regulations while supporting smooth clinical and revenue cycle operations. Working closely with the Health Information Supervisor, Revenue Cycle Director, medical staff, Financial Services, and external agencies, the Specialist maintains accurate and confidential records, prepares audit-ready documentation, and serves as a key liaison between providers and insurance payors. The ideal candidate will coordinate initial and ongoing provider credentialing, verify education, licensure, certifications, malpractice history, and work experience, track expiration dates, and manage re-credentialing activities. Responsibilities also include submitting and monitoring payor enrollment applications, maintaining current participation records, and resolving enrollment-related issues. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven office environment are essential.
Education: An associate degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field is preferred

Housekeeper
Veterans Memorial Hospital looking for a dependable and energetic full time Housekeeper (40 hours per week) to help keep our hospital and clinic environments safe and spotless for patients, visitors, and staff. In this role, you’ll be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, public areas, and clinical spaces, as well as handling laundry services for both the hospital and outside contracts. From making up beds after patient discharge to shampooing carpets and buffing floors, your work will make a real difference every day.

Medical Laboratory Technician
Veterans Memorial Hospital is excited to announce a full-time opening for a Laboratory Technician to join our dedicated Laboratory team on the PM/2nd shift! Paramedic
Veterans Memorial Hospital & Clinics is seeking dedicated Paramedics to provide critical pre-hospital emergency care and in-hospital support in our Emergency Department and Med-Surg units. Under the supervision of the EMS Manager and Medical Director, you will respond to 911 calls, patient transfers, and emergency situations, delivering care at your certified level of training. In addition to ambulance operations, you’ll assist with patient care under RN supervision, perform vital assessments, document care in electronic records, and contribute to the overall safety and efficiency of our emergency services.
Education: a high school diploma or GED, current Paramedic certification (Iowa or NREMT), and up-to-date BLS, EVOC, and Mandatory Reporter training. ACLS certification, with PALS and NRP preferred.
Experience: in EMS or a healthcare setting is a plus, and Critical Care Paramedic endorsement is desirable.

Radiologic Technologist
We are seeking a full time skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our team and provide essential diagnostic imaging services. In this role, you will acquire radiographs using various modalities, ensuring proper patient positioning and technique to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. You will work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other medical staff to support patient diagnosis and treatment. Additionally, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining radiology equipment, following safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure, and maintaining accurate imaging records. This position involves performing procedures such as mammography, CT, MRI, bone densitometry, and fluoroscopy, as well as operating portable radiology equipment in various clinical settings.
Education: Associate's degree in Radiology or an equivalent, be registered or registry-eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT), and hold a valid State of Iowa Permit to Practice.
Experience: Previous hospital experience is preferred, along with a solid understanding of anatomy, radiation protection, and medical imaging equipment. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication and customer service skills, and a commitment to patient safety and confidentiality are essential.
Social Services Coordinator
Veterans Memorial Hospital seeking a compassionate, driven Social Services Coordinator to join our Critical Access Hospital team. This full-time position (40 hpw) will play a vital role in guiding patients and families through safe, timely, and supportive transitions of care. In this highly collaborative position, you’ll lead discharge planning from admission through discharge, addressing social determinants of health and coordinating services such as home health, hospice, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, DME, and community resources. You’ll work side-by-side with providers, nursing, therapy, and community partners to reduce readmissions, advocate for patient preferences, and ensure every patient leaves with a clear, individualized plan for what comes next.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field
Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in healthcare, social services, or care coordination, preferred. A strong working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and post-acute services.
