Grants and Community Support Move Postville Clinic Project Forward

The Veterans Memorial Hospital Postville Clinic upgrade project continues to move forward thanks to a combination of grant funding and strong community support.

The project has received two grants that will help advance improvements to both the facility and medical equipment, strengthening health care access for the Postville community and surrounding area.

The first grant was from the McElroy Trust for $20,000 to support bricks-and-mortar upgrades to the clinic.  These funds will be used for physical upgrades and modernizing the space to ensure it can continue to meet the growing health care needs of patients and providers.

In addition, the Arlin Falck Foundation awarded $7,521 to support the purchase of new medical equipment for the clinic.  This equipment will improve efficiency, comfort and care for patients receiving services at the Postville Clinic.

Project leaders expressed appreciation to both the Trust and Foundation for their generosity and commitment to community health.

Community support has also played a significant role in advancing the project, with more than $165,000 raised through local donations.  This broad-based generosity highlights the importance of the Postville Clinic as a vital health care resource for Postville and surrounding communities.

Project leaders have also applied for additional grant funding and plan to pursue more grant opportunities in 2026 to help complete the project. Together, these investments will help modernize the clinic facility, enhance patient care, and ensure continued access to high-quality health services for years to come.
