New Physician Dr. Olaitan Akinboboye Happy to be in Northeast Iowa
Dr. Olaitan Akinboboye joined the Veterans Memorial Hospital team two months ago, caring for patients at both the Postville and Waukon Clinics and is very happy with his choice to join this team. He is available to see patients of all ages and, even though his practice is quickly growing, he is accepting new patients.
“My experience practicing medicine at Veterans Memorial Hospital has been incredibly rewarding. From the very beginning, I have felt warmly welcomed by my colleagues, patients, and the entire community. It has been a privilege to provide both primary care and building meaningful relationships with patients and their families while contributing to the health and well-being of the community,” reflects Dr. Akinboboye. “Living in Allamakee County has been equally wonderful. My family and I have been touched by the kindness, hospitality, and genuine sense of community that make this area so special. The peaceful environment, beautiful scenery, and welcoming people have made our transition much easier. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve this community, and I look forward to growing both personally and professionally while making a lasting, positive impact on the lives of those I care for.”
Dr. Akinboboye cares for patients each Monday in the Waukon Clinic and the Postville Clinic on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays each week. He adds a physician choice to the Postville Clinic, which has been the desire of many patients following the retirement of Dr. Thomas McMullan last November. He joins nurse practitioners Minji Ransom, NP; Katie Maker, NP/Nurse Midwife; Hannah Kelly, NP; Mason Kerian NP; and Alex Berns, NP, who all provide family medicine one to two days a week at the Postville Clinic as well as at the Waukon Clinic. Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioners Tara Fink, PMHNP, and Angela Taylor, PMHNP, also provide behavioral health services in Postville as well.
