Veterans Memorial Hospital Announces Administrative Leadership Transition

Veterans Memorial Hospital administrator, Michael Coyle, resigned from his position on Tuesday, June 23, effective immediately. The Board of Directors and hospital leadership team have implemented a transition plan to ensure continuity of operations and patient care.
"Our priority remains the delivery of safe, high-quality care to our patients and community," states Dennis Lyons, Board of Trustees Chairman. "We have a strong leadership team, dedicated medical providers, and talented, hardworking, capable employees who remain focused on our mission of delivering high quality, compassionate care. We are confident in the hospital's continued success and stability during this transition."
An interim leadership structure has been established with current leadership members Jayne McCormick, Chief Nursing Officer, and Mike Brennan, Chief Information Officer, stepping into oversee the hospital's daily operations, services, and strategic initiatives so all will continue without interruption.
The Board of Directors has begun the process of evaluating long-term leadership needs and will provide updates as appropriate. In the meantime, the hospital's experienced management team will work closely with staff, medical providers, and community partners to maintain seamless operations.
