Rehabilitation Services
Not only do we provide extensive outpatient and orthopedic therapy, we also work with hospital inpatients, skilled care patients, and home health patients to maximize strength and mobility.
Our Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy specialties are all highlighted below and are often intermingled to coordinate the highest level of rehabilitation for each and every patient.
Physical Therapy
Our Physical Therapists use techniques like exercise, stretching, massage, heat, and cold therapy to help improve movement and manage pain related to injuries, illnesses, or disabilities, aiming to restore or enhance physical function in the body. They specialize in relieving back, neck, shoulder, hip, knee, ankle and foot pain; providing orthopedic/post-surgical rehabilitation; balance training; headache management; fall prevention; vestibular rehabilitation and vertigo. We even offer wound care, dry needling and wellness programs.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy helps regain function following injuries and illnesses, treating patients who have hip or knee replacement surgery, heart attacks, pneumonia, strokes, diabetes, generalized weakness, skin burns, joint contractures, breathing difficulties, and many other diagnoses.
Our therapists specialize in treating those with broken wrists, hands, or arms to regain strength, movement, and independence in daily activities as well as tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, tendonitis of the wrist, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, lymphedema and incontinence. We ensure you are safely capable to perform routine activities, such as dressing and cooking, before returning home. We also work with outpatients to regain strength and movement to return to self-care, work, and leisure tasks.
Speech Therapy
Our Speech-Language Pathologist, Steven Mazzafield, has been caring for our patients for 10 years. His role encompasses not only helping children with articulation therapy and autism but also caring for older patients with stroke, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, traumatic brain injury, etc.
Steven also assists patients with swallowing problems, improving speech and voice, providing cognitive rehabilitation for difficulties with memory, attention and problem solving that may result from a variety of conditions, including brain injury, stroke, dementia, or diabetes.
Stephen also offers a monthly Stroke Support Group for individuals who have suffered a stroke, as well as their family members.
