Our Waukon and Postville Medical Clinics Extend Hours thanks to Greater Number of Medical Providers
Both the Veterans Memorial Hospital Medical Clinics in Waukon and Postville are extending their hours beginning February 23. This is made possible by the additional medical providers who have joined the clinics recently. These extended hours will offer greater flexibility for seeing a medical provider earlier and later in the day, as well as keep both clinics open throughout the lunch hour each day.
Starting Monday, February 23, the Waukon Medical Clinic will now be opening at 7:30 am on Mondays and at 7:00 am Tuesdays through Fridays. The clinic will remain open until 7 pm Monday through Thursday evenings and until 5 pm on Fridays.
At the Waukon Clinic only, the extended evening hours, from 4:30-6:30 pm, are open for walk-in patients, without an appointment, who have acute, non-emergent needs such as the following: broken bones (other than hips or femurs), cough/cold, diarrhea, ear aches, fever, flu, minor burns, minor cuts, muscle strain, pink eye, rash/hives, removal of foreign body, sinus infection, skin infection, sore throat, urinary tract in and vomiting. With this being a walk-in clinic without any scheduled appointments, the wait time to see the provider may be longer. These evening hours are also an opportunity to schedule clinic follow-up appointments with some of the providers.

Also starting Monday, February 23, the Postville Medical Clinic will extend their hours to the following: Mondays 7am-5 pm, Tuesdays 8 am-5 pm, Wednesdays 7 am-3:30 pm, Thursdays 8 am-5 pm and Fridays 8 am-5 pm. The Postville Medical Clinic will now remain open through the noon hour and will no longer be closing from 1-2 pm each afternoon. The clinic now often has two medical providers available and a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner available once per week as well.
