Senior Life Solutions Services to Begin on March 23 at Veterans Memorial Hospital

Senior Life Solutions is a new department opening at Veterans Memorial Hospital on March 26th.   They will be providing outpatient services designed to meet the unique needs of individuals, typically 65 and older, experiencing depression and/or anxiety related to life changes often associated with aging. Services include group and individual therapy, medication management, and after-care planning.

                Services available with Senior Life Solutions are confidential and include comprehensive assessment, group therapy, individual therapy, and family therapy, as well as, medication education, medication management in collaboration with our patients primary care provider, and after-care planning.

                Mandy Pettit, RN, Senior Life Solutions Program Director, explains the services offered, “Having the opportunity to make connections during individual sessions and within a group setting, can help each person address their individual needs. We communicate with our patients and their care team to develop goals that are reasonable for their unique situation.”

                Anyone can make a referral to the Senior Life Solutions program--primary care providers, specialists, family members, friends, community groups, nursing or residential facilities and anyone can also self-refer themselves.
